Baby Balm

Ingredients:

Shea Butter (Vitellaria paradoxa): Our unrefined, sustainably-sourced shea butter is a hand-crafted natural fat from the seeds of the African shea tree. This luxurious butter helps to ease inflammation while providing long-lasting moisture, without any residual greasiness. Loaded with antioxidants and vitamins A, E and F, alongside healthy fatty acids and valuable phytonutrients, this delicious African butter is about as nourishing as skincare can get.

Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis)*: Jojoba is a natural plant wax produced by the seeds of a desert shrub. The seeds, brimming with stored moisture, are collected and cold-pressed to release a liquid similar to our skins sebum. Because jojoba is a plant wax and not an oil, it does not go rancid and is used in our skincare products to maintain maximum shelf life and potency. Jojoba is the ultimate moisturizer, and has become a staple in our skincare products due to its abundance of phytonutrients, antioxidants, and vitamin E.

Beeswax (Cera alba): Created by worker bees as a layer of protection for their pupae and a safe casing for their honey, beeswax acts similarly on our skin by adding a breathable layer of protection that keeps skins natural moisture in, and invading bacteria out. This provides not only a natural barrier of protection, but a healthy dose of vitamin A and fatty acids which help to speed healing and regulate skin regeneration. We only use the highest quality, 100% pure, unrefined beeswax from Canadian beekeepers.

Seabuckthorn Oil (Hippophae rhamnoides): Pressed from the berries and seeds of the seabuckthorn plant, this vibrantly orange-hued oil is jam-packed with omega fatty acids 3, 6, 7, and 9, alongside antioxidants, vitamins, palmitoleic acids, carotenoids, and phytosterols which help to ease inflammation and redness, regenerate healthy skin cells, and protect against invading bacteria.

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)*: Also known as English Lavender, these beautiful purple buds contain a plethora of skin-soothing compounds which help to reduce redness and inflammation, protect against fungus and bacteria, promote the growth of new skin cells, and minimize pain and discomfort in the nether regions. We infuse our jojoba oil with these healing buds to avoid the addition of essential oils, which can be too harsh for delicate baby skin.

Calendula Extract (Calendula officinalis)*: Bright orange calendula petals are infused in skin-loving sunflower seed oil to provide a potent yet gentle dose of anti-inflammatory compounds, helping to relieve pain, swelling, and redness associated with diaper rash and fungal infections. It’s helpful dose of antioxidants help to repair damaged skin, soothe and prevent sunburns, and provide a barrier for delicate skin to keep bad bacteria at bay. 

St Johns Wort Extract (Hypericum perforatum)*: Antimicrobial st johns wort flowers are infused in soothing olive oil to assist in repairing damaged skin, reducing redness, swelling, and irritation, and soothing itchiness associated with rashes and dryness on delicate skin. It is softening, hydrating, and healing!

Vitamin E (Alpha-tocopherol acetate): Naturally anti-inflammatory and rich in antioxidants, vitamin E helps to soothe and protect the skin from damage-causing free radicals, while naturally extending the shelf-life of your beloved Baby Balm without the use of synthetic preservatives.
