Venus of Brassempouy, at about 25,000 years old, is one of the first known realistic portraits in the world. The model lived in what is now southern France, and her likeness was carved in mammoth ivory by an unknown artist. This statuette is ideal for your goddess collection, freestanding proudly in any room in your house. Note that this figure is about 10cm (4″) high, and the original was only about 3.6cm (1.5″). I have therefore included a smaller life-size figure, so you can see her just as the artist did, all those centuries ago. Also included: The Ritual of the First Face.
