Handmade Metis Sash Bracelet with Silver Infinity Symbol – Adjustable Alpaca Wool, Red Aboriginal Design
This beautiful Metis Sash bracelet has been created using 100% Alpaca wool and woven in the “L’Assomption” pattern of the Courier De Boise or the Metis of French descent. The different fur trading companies in Canada recruited their people from different ethnic groups and the Courier De Boise worked independantly or in minor partnerships with the Hudson’s Bay Company or the Northwest Company and were mostly of French/Metis descent. They were also know as “Voyageurs”. The Metis people are recognized as a distinct Aboriginal group here in Canada with our own culture, language (Mechif) and rights.
