This beautiful Metis Sash bracelet has been created using 100% Alpaca wool and woven in the “L’Assomption” pattern of the Courier De Boise or the Metis of French descent. The different fur trading companies in Canada recruited their people from different ethnic groups and the Courier De Boise worked independantly or in minor partnerships with the Hudson’s Bay Company or the Northwest Company and were mostly of French/Metis descent. They were also know as “Voyageurs”. The Metis people are recognized as a distinct Aboriginal group here in Canada with our own culture, language (Mechif) and rights. Hand made black leather belt. Available in sizes from 32″ to 46″. Can also select if you don’t want any stitching, machine stitching or hand stitched. These belts are made from 9oz Crazy Horse leather which is veg tanned with a chrome tan retan. They have been finished with a blend of oils and waxes and have a strong resistance to stretching and are ideal for belts and outdoor gear.
All belts include a standard buckle which can be replaced due to using snaps to close the buckle end of the belt around the buckle.
Pant size is not the same as belt size so to ensure proper sizing when ordering, see the chart included and measure an existing belt. If you order by the pant size, the belt could be anywhere from 2″ to short to 6″ to short.
These belts are not the ones you will receive. These are short sample belts to show how they will look with no stitching, machine stitching or hand stitching.
