Kimono jacket made of vintage Japanese kimono fabric which was originally tailored in the Showa era (1925-1989). It was the period when bold abstract patterns were in vogue.
It comes with a black belt.
The material is a mixture of silk and polyester. The texture is smooth, unlined and very light.
Length (shoulder to hem): 82cm (32in)
Belt length: 179cm (70in)
The seam allowance is hand-stitched without overlocking or zigzag stitching.
The seams of the sewing machine are hardly visible from the outer fabric.
*Please note that silk is a delicate material, ideally hand-washed with a neutral detergent. Washing in warm or hot water may cause shrinkage of the fabric.
As this is an antique kimono, it is recommended to wash it separately from other items in case the colour fades. Silk is also sensitive to sunlight and should be dried in the shade after washing.
