Button Lacing and Pompom Push Activity

Lacing boards are a great activity for at home or on the go for both toddlers and preschoolers. The practice of lacing encourages further fine motor development and also works on finger dexterity. These are important for developing hand writing skills, buttoning and tying laces.
This button offers a more beginner lacing activity with four larger holes, however, it also offers a tactile and object permanence activity pushing pompoms through the holes. Hold the button and push the pompoms through or place the button on a bowl and push the pompoms through – lift the button to reveal where they’ve gone!
Your child can lace this whichever way they like and these activities promote independence, patience and concentration.
